Timbre

Voice notes, for Android

Your thoughts, captured by voice.

Written up and filed, with the tasks hidden in them already pulled out.

Made for people with too much on their mind

From thought to note, in one gesture

Sort, find, keep

Once you have said them, your ideas stay easy to sort, to find and to keep.

Sort

  • FoldersOrganize your notes in folders.

  • TasksSpotted by the AI or added by hand, linked to their note.

Find

  • SearchFind any note with a single word.

  • SummaryThe gist of each note, put back in order by the AI.

Keep

  • ExportAll your notes and their recordings, as readable files.

  • Google DriveA backup you can restore on a new phone.

No dictation lost

Every dictation is saved on your phone first. On the subway with no signal, or when your allowance is used up, Timbre holds it and waits.

It goes out by itself as soon as the network is back or your allowance renews, with nothing for you to restart.

Your notes stay on your phone

Your notes, your audio and your other personal information are stored on your phone.

A copy goes to the cloud only if you choose.

Pricing

You only pay for minutes: the ones used to transcribe your dictations, and the ones used by the AI for summaries and analysis.

Frequently asked questions

Can I try it before subscribing?

Yes. Ten minutes are offered when you create your account, with every feature, once per account and per device.

Is Timbre on iPhone?

Not yet: for now, Timbre only works on Android. We are working on it.

Can I dictate with no network?

Yes. The dictation is kept on the phone, and transcribed as soon as the network is back.

What happens when my allowance is used up?

You can keep recording. Your dictations wait for next month’s allowance, or go out as soon as you move to a higher tier.

How do I change tier or cancel?

In Google Play, under Payments and subscriptions. There is no commitment: a cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, from the settings, or by writing to the publisher: the Delete my account page explains both. Deleting the account does not stop the subscription, which you cancel in Google Play.

What happens to my data?

Your notes and recordings are stored on your phone. You can keep a copy in your own online storage, and export or restore a full backup. What Timbre processes to transcribe and analyze your notes is detailed in the privacy policy.
